More Than Words

This piece of work is among other drawings. It all started when I noticed that my mind go blank when I am staring at a plane white paper. So I used this book called Breathless by Dean Koontz. It was sleeping on my bookshelf for more than 3 Years. And honestly, It did help!

*Read the details below each photo as I take you through the journey I took while designing it.*
THE PROCESS
This is the original scan of the drawing. Meh, not what I imagined when I started drawing it. :/
Phase 1: I wasn't happy with the plain extra bright normal scan. So I refused to accept reality and I did what I do best! >:D ..... Adjusting the contrast and masking here and there!
Phase 2: Playing with colors and shades. Really fun! Got some nostalgic feeling of my childhood.
Phase 3: I inverted the background to add a contrast and focus on the crystal. (This was a coincidence I pressed Command + I and tadaaa! :O Anyhow, let's pretend I did it on purpose as all other designers claim to most of their designs. :P
Phase 4: I added the text to give it more action feel. lol
Phase 5: Playing with lines because I want to!
Phase 6: Final retouches, contrast and small details to satisfy my eyes! :D
